Professor Carolyn Cartier
Carolyn Cartier is Professor of Human Geography and China Studies. She was a founding member of the University of Technology Sydney China Research Centre. Cartier is the chief investigator of the Austalian Research Council Discovery Project ‘Governing the City in China: The Territorial Imperative’ (2017-2020).
Professor Pál Nyiri
Pál Nyiri is Professor of Global History from an Anthropological Perspective at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. His main research areas are the international mobility of contemporary Chinese elites, Chinese nationalism, the politics of immigration in Eastern Europe, and comparative approaches to Eastern Europe and China.
Dr. Joy Yueyue Zhang
Joy Zhang is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Kent. Her research concern the transnational governance of scientific uncertainty, with a focus on Sino-European contexts. She headed the ESRC-funded project ‘Governing Accountability in China’s Life Sciences: A Comparative Study of Stem Cell and GM Food Governance’.
